Alps Bio Cluster était présent lors de ce séminaire thématique sur la compétitivité organisé par le Programme de l’Espace Alpin. Avec une approche « compétitivité / attractivité du territoire » comme fil conducteur, les domaines tourisme, l’énergie, les ressources locales et l’aménagement du territoire ont été abordés au cours de cet évènement.

Un témoignage de notre expérience a plus particulièrement été apporté lors du workshop « Ressources locale : Comment transformer les ressources/connaissances alpines locales en un avantage concurrentiel dans une économie mondiale? » par Peter Schröder du Helmholtz Centre Munich (Allemagne).

Conférence Transnationale Conjointe de Katowice

A l’invitation du Programme de la région de la Mer du Nord, l’ADEBAG a participé à un débat sur l’Innovation dans le cadre de la Conférence Transnationale Conjointe qui s’est tenue à Katowice les 15 et 16 Septembre derniers et qui rassemblait les 13 programmes transnationaux européens.

Ce fut l’occasion de partager notre expérience acquise au cours du projet Alps Bio Cluster. En particulier, nous avons pu mettre en avant les deux réseaux thématiques, « eCare » et « Services environnementaux pour la santé humaine », qui ont été mis en œuvre avec succès parce qu’ils sont fortement reliés à des problématiques propres à l’espace alpin. Ce fut également l’occasion d’alerter les représentants de la  Commission européenne sur les difficultés rencontrées par les PME innovantes pour accéder aux financements européens (lourdeurs administratives, temps de réponse trop long entre le dépôt de la proposition et la mise en œuvre des travaux, phases aval/proches du marché non financées, etc.).

Alps Bio Cluster Brussels Event

A l’occasion de la fin du projet Alps Bio Cluster, l’ADEBAG, chef de file du projet, a organisé le 21 Septembre 2011 un évènement à Bruxelles dans les locaux de la délégation de la Région Rhône-Alpes à Bruxelles.

L’évènement a rassemblé une quarantaine de participants. L’objectif était de présenter les réalisations et les perspectives du projet et de recueillir auprès de représentants de la Commission Européenne (DG REGIO, DG ENTR et DG RTD) au travers d’une table ronde, la position de celle-ci vis-à-vis des Clusters (transnationaux, notamment) au regard de la stratégie Europe 2020 et de la future programmation Horizon 2020.

En ouverture, M. Bernard SOULAGE, Vice-Président de la Région Rhône-Alpes délégué aux Relations européennes et à l’international, y a présenté la démarche de réflexion sur la stratégie macrorégionale pour les Alpes. Christian Salletmaier, directeur général du Programme de l’Espace Alpin, est également intervenu sur la contribution du Programme à cette réflexion sur la stratégie macrorégionale.

Cet évènement fut l'occasion de concrétiser la création du meta Cluster à travers la signature du M.O.U.

MedTech Summer School
18-23 July, Grenoble, France

Alps Bio Cluster, in collaboration with its local partner Adebag and with local players such as EDISCE-phD school (among others), is organizing a Summer School MedTech focused on “the process of innovation and the industrial challenges in medical technologies”.

25 international master degree and phD students will:

• visit leader companies such as bioMérieux, Becton Dickinson, Trixell, ESRF. They will also
  
• discover a visionary platform for augmented intervention in medicine with start-ups in surgiqual robotic such as SQI (Surgiqual Institute). And presentation of Roche Diagnostic activities and well-known researchers and actors in the MedTech field.
  
• gather their varied skills and cultures for teamworks on the process from lab to market for a concrete project, supervised by expert tutors in technology transfer and valorization.

Plenary conference
4-5 July, Innsbruck, Austria

This plenary conference will be fed by the lessons learned in the Alps Bio Cluster project. The time will have come for all partners to take stock on three years of cooperation and to envisage prospects for pursuing transalpine cooperation on the cluster's key themes.

The 2 day event will be organized around 2 principal themes:

• Megatrends in Life Sciences (Technologies, Markets and European Policies)
• Opportunities, Challenges and Best Practices in building Transnational Life Science Clusters.

Participants will have the opportunity to interact with experts from the European Commission and representatives of successful Transnational European Life Science Clusters.

The lessons and perspectives will be presented the 21st of September 2011 in Brussels to representatives of the different Directorates General of the European Commission.

7th International Conference on Phytotechnologies
26-29 September 2010, Parma (Italy)

During the 7th International Conference on Phytotechnologies organized by the INTERNATIONAL PHYTOTECHNOLOGY SOCIETY, the Alps Bio Cluster partners will present the project and activities in the field of environmental biotechnologies.
This 7th International Conference on Phytotechnologies will treat of “Phytotechnologies in the 21st century: challenges after Copenhagen 2009. Remediation - Energy - Health - Sustainability”...

Alps Bio Cluster Brokerage event @BIOTECH2010
27 October 2010, Milan (Italy)

The Alps Bio Cluster project, in collaboration with the Enterprise Europe Network, organizes a brokerage event in the context of BIOTECH2010 / NUCE exhibition.
BIOTECH 2010 is the international event and conference dedicated to biotechnologies organized in Milan from 26 to 28 October 2010. It counted 5420 visitors in a first successful first edition, and saw the participation of 12.744 operators in three days. BIOTECH 2010 is organized together with NUCE INTERNATIONAL 2010.

52 companies were gathered for the Alps Bio Cluster partnering event on Biotechnologies: 5 companies came from Rhône Alpes region, 2 from Germany and 36 SMEs and Research centres from Italy.
This successful event was the opportunity for European actors to promote innovative products and processes and build future collaborations. 129 bilateral meetings were held in one day.

Alps Bio Cluster Catalyst Event

Bilan du Colloque européen « TIC & Santé : vers des services personnalisés »,
les 7 & 8 juillet dernier à Grenoble

Les 7 & 8 juillet derniers, l’ADEBAG a organisé en collaboration avec toute l’équipe d’Alps Bio Cluster le colloque européen sur « TIC et Santé : vers des services personnalisés ». Le but de cette rencontre européenne était de rassembler le monde médico-social (psychologue, assistante sociale…) et le monde des technologues (entreprises, laboratoires de recherche…) pour trouver des solutions pour la conception de produits et services adaptés aux utilisateurs finaux : patients et professionnels médicaux.

1. 70 participants venus de 6 pays européens (Allemagne, Autriche, Espagne, France, Italie et Suisse)
2. 23 intervenants européens dont M.Erwann Binet, Vice-président du développement économique et de la recherche au Conseil Général de l’Isère qui nous a fait le plaisir de venir en personne montrer son soutien à notre initiative
3. 30 participants aux 2 ateliers de brainstorming avec qui ont permis d’initier des échanges pour de futures coopérations.

Pendant cet évènement, a aussi eu lieu la 1ère réunion du groupe d’experts « e-Care » qui aura pour but d’animer le réseau européen « Autonomie et Santé ». Les discussions ont été très riches et ont permis d’établir un plan d’action pour les mois à venir autour de 4 axes de travail

1. La mise en place d’une plateforme européenne interopérable
2. L’accès au marché
3. Le lobbying européen
4. L’ingénierie de projet

Alps Bio Cluster International Summer School on biotechnologies
26 July to 1 August 2010, Freising (Munich region)

Alps Bio Cluster team would like to congratulate the 26 participants for their excellent contributions that enable to complete successfully the International Summer School. This first International Summer School gave an overview of the different application areas on biotechnology.
Excellent professors from the university and from leading companies offered courses in biotechnology. In order to receive a good application-oriented experience several excursions around big companies and infrastructures were programmed...
