Three organisations active in the life sciences sector signed in
January 2006 a cooperative agreement:
Adebag (Grenoble - Rhône-Alpes
- France)
Bioindustry Park del Canavese (Turin - Piedmont
- Italy)
BioAlps - Lake Geneva Biotech & Medtech Cluster (Western Switzerland)
The
complementarities of the scientific and industrial know-how in
the three regions which make up the BioAlpine Cluster is one
of its greatest strengths, having already allowed the semi-organic
development of collaborative links between the different organisations
involved.
Bioindustry
Park del Canavese: Located close to Turin, the Bioindustry
Park is a Science and Technology Park aimed at promoting and
developing R&D activities and hosting companies
working in the life sciences sector.
The park is equipped with high-tech platforms (Advanced Methodologies
Laboratory) as well as a Bio-Incubator (Discovery) and a seed
capital company – Eporgen
Venture.
BioAlps:
A not-for-profit association bringing together participants from
the economic and academic sectors of the French-speaking region in
Switzerland. BioAlps aims at promoting western Switzerland as a European
centre for life sciences, strengthening synergies among the scientific,
industrial and financial sectors as well as stimulating the development
of new businesses.
